about the product

Also called D-sorbitol, 50-70-4, E420, and D-glucitol, sorbitol is a carbohydrate that falls under a category of sugar alcohols called polyols. It is a water-soluble compound naturally found in some fruits, such as apples, apricots, berries, dates, figs, and plums.

They are also commercially manufactured from corn syrup and are commonly used in packaged foods, beverages, and medications.
Sorbitol is 60% as sweet and has around 35% fewer calories per gram than sugar. When eaten in excessive amounts, it may cause bloating and diarrhea in some people, especially if you aren’t used to regularly consuming items with this ingredient. However, rest assured that the World Health Organization, the European Union, and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration have reviewed sorbitol and declared it safe to use and consume.
