Food Starch Technology And Application Training

On March 22, 2012, National Starch (Philippines)provided product and application training for Wills International. The said training was facilitated by Ms. Lorelie S. Marquses, National Starch TechnicalService Executive. Wills sent its two business Development Managers and its Technical Manager to attend the training held at the Starch Laboratory of National Starch in Taguig City.

It was a whole-day training where the attendees were given information on starch chemistry, properties, modifications, and performance. Hands-on training on evaluating the degree of starch cook and a microscopic evaluation of the starch slurry was done. The training was comprehensive in the sense that starch performance in a wide array of food products such as dairy, meat, bakery, and noodles was tackled and discussed.

This training provided better exposure to starch and its characteristics. In this way, we will be in a better position to address our customer issues and requirements.
